Hi! I'm Alice, an Italian and English speaking psychologist based in the Netherlands, specialised in trauma and eating disorders.
My interest in psychology began pretty early, driven by a fascination for patterns and an inclination for introspection.
Over time, this interest grew through life experiences, especially as I found meaning in supporting others during difficult times. My somewhat unconventional life path eventually led me to pursue formal studies in psychology, motivated by a desire to better understand its depth and nuances and to help others turning their pain into purpose.
I grew up in northern Italy which I left after high school, looking for new experiences and perspectives. Since then, I've lived in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. These experiences, along with working and studying in international settings, enriched my understanding of cultural diversity and adapting to new environments.
Personally, I'm often drawn to the different and the complex, I enjoy depth and are quite fascinated by the peculiar.
My interests are rather broad, spanning from the nerdy to the nice to the mainstream. As I've learned to embrace both the profound and absurd aspects of life, I've come to appreciate the often tragicomic essence of existence and the importance of humour in navigating it all.
In my work, I bring a nuanced understanding of mental health and the complexities of psychological distress, recognizing the emotional weight these experiences carry and support others in their journey towards healing, growth and balance.
I believe in the value of looking both inward and outward, challenging our beliefs and transforming obstacles into opportunities for positive change, insight, and wisdom.
